About Edizioni Migliori
Edizioni Migliori is Italian for “better editions”. We are a full-service publishing house making modern, clean, environmentally-friendly editions of sheet music with a focus on cello pedagogy.
Our vertically integrated model allows us control over every step in the publishing process from licensing to editing, typesetting, printing, binding, and distribution. In Fall 2021, we received an Inspiration Micro-Grant from The Hatchery at Emory University to support our work modernizing and republishing études by Rudolf Matz.
Our founder, Ahanu Banerjee, is a cellist with many professional and recreational interests, including biomedical science, electrical engineering, lutherie, and gastronomy. He has studied cello performance with Martha Gerschefski in Atlanta and Anne Martindale Williams in Pittsburgh. He has also studied and performed solo and chamber works at numerous summer music festivals, including the Bowdoin International Music Festival and the Brevard Music Center. Ahanu has extensive orchestral experience, both as a section player in the Carnegie-Mellon Philharmonic and as former co-principal cellist of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra. As of 2022, he is pursuing a degree in nursing at Emory University and resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
